Biography
Anne Waters BIOGRAPHY Bold, expressive color and textural paint applications are the hallmarks of Florida-based painter Anne Waters. These are the qualities that infuse her florals, landscapes, and other paintings with energy and vitality. Born into a family of artists, Anne gave up a business career at mid-life to embark on the more fulfilling journey of an award-winning artist. Picking up on her fine art education that began in college, Anne furthered her skills through private study with many nationally known artists, such as Jane Hofstetter, Jan Kunz, Karen Frey, and Pat Dews. Later Anne began teaching classes while living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and even organized a popular outdoor art festival called "Art in the Park" for which she received “Volunteer of the Year” award from the City of Danville. Celebrating 15 years as an award-winning professional, Anne now has artwork included in countless private and corporate collections across the United States. Recently, several paintings were published in Beginning Color Mixing, a Walter & Foster publication by Kimberly Adams. When Anne lived in Washington, each summer she hosted an outdoor exhibition of her artwork in her garden—her other passion—which, she says, “brings my garden and art together for a colorful moment in time.” She is represented by Parklane Fine Art Gallery in Kirkland, Washington.
