This painting is a study of water and light on a very diverse and colorful plant known as the bromeliad. It's inspired by a series of photos I took of the walkways, gardens and alcoves on Worth Ave. in Palm Beach, FL, a place where I have fond childhood memories. The weather and lighting was perfect that day. All of the plants were pruned or new and freshly watered, I couldn't stop taking pictures of that beautiful moment in time, the Mediterranean tiles and eclectic colors, textures and accents. Figures in stone, architecture and some smiling faces of the shop keepers, are all part of the pictures of that day. More to come in this collection. PRINTS ARE AVAILABLE
