Wine, Blood, Water, Spirit, all poured out for us on account of our Savior Jesus Christ. From top left to right, this painting depicts prophecy in Isaiah and Revelation, Jesus' first recorded miracle at the wedding at Cana, and His struggle in Gethsemane, as his perspiration was mingled with his own blood from the immense weight of the anxiety he conquered. He was poured out, and now we can drink deep from the waters when we are thirsty, with no money and without cost. We "buy" and eat. "Buy" in the context of Isaiah 55 refers to, not money, but dealing in wheat. This reminds me of how Jesus is the Bread of Life. This is a picture of Christ's service to us and ours to Him, a holy transaction that sustains the Church, His Body. We "buy without money" when we redeem our inheritance through obedience to the Gospel. Come drink! Come buy and eat!
