Jill was commissioned to paint large flower water colors for presidential suites in luxury hotels. She embarked on a journey into the world of orchids, studying them at Walter Hunniwell's greenhouses in Wellesley Massachusetts in the early 1980s. She spent hours organizing and arranging pots of the world's most exotic flowers in his extensive collection. The flowing harmonious interaction, carefully arranged by the artist and rendered in a free flowing yet precise style is the hallmark of these oversized watercolors which have become favorite giclees.
