The painting titled, "The Quiet Storm" is created using mixed media on canvas, primarily acrylic paint with layers of texture to create an impasto effect. The painting is a reflection of a scene from an ocean which is nearing the end of a storm. The colors are vibrant with rich hues of blue, cream, purple and white. There is an extensive use of texturing within the painting to provide the simulated effect of water moving, finished with a beautiful coating of resin and epoxy which makes all of the colors all the more richer. This painting is framed on a hard wood frame with a substantial 3" thickness, gallery wrapped and does not require framing.
