Robert Roesch

Biography

Robert Roesch was born in New York State, lives in Philadelphia Pa, and works in a studio in the New Jersey Pine lands. He is a graduate of Pratt Institute and the State University of New York. Roesch was the Chair of Sculpture and a sculpture faculty member at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. After 35 years he has retired in the spring of 2022. He is chairperson of the Philadelphia Art and Architecture Commission. He has received 12 grants, including a Fulbright Specialist Award that brought him to lecture and exhibit throughout Japan in 2006-07 and to represent the United States in the Baku Biennial in 2009. He represented USA in the Cairo Biennale in 2019.
